A man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and police are keen to hear from any other victims or witnesses to the incidents which happened in Gloucester city centre.
Door staff at a pub had reported to CCTV operators on Saturday night (19 September) that they had seen a man approach several women, including following two down an alleyway.
Police were contacted at 11.22pm and it was also reported that the man had sexually assaulted women by touching their bottoms.
This happened between around 11pm and 11.30pm in the area of The Cross. It is understood that the man had also been inside The Cross Keys Inn off Southgate Street.
Officers attended and saw a man who matched the description which had been provided.
At 11.40pm, a 41-year-old man from Gloucester was arrested on Longsmith Street on suspicion of sexual assault and a public order offence.
Officers are keen to hear from any victims or witnesses to what happened who have not already been in contact with police. So far police have been in contact with three women.
The arrested man was questioned and has since been released on police bail with conditions while further enquiries take place.
His conditions include having to remain indoors at an address in Gloucester between 8pm and 6am, and not to go into Gloucester city centre except for pre-arranged appointments.
Further CCTV enquiries will take place in the area and police want to hear from anyone who has footage of what took place.
