BBC Radio Gloucestershire’s medium wave transmissions are due to close.
The closure of 1413AM is expected by the end of November, as part of the BBC’s long-running move away from medium wave.
Listeners will still be able to hear the same BBC local radio programmes on FM, DAB, BBC Sounds, smart speakers and online.
The BBC says the change does not affect its commitment to local radio, but reflects how audiences now choose to listen.
Other areas affected include Cumbria, Derby, Norfolk and Somerset.
