Police were called to the lower High Street in Cheltenham at approximately 1.15pm today when a man was found suffering from a wound to the neck.
The area was cordoned off and emergency services called. The man, malady in his fifties, was taken to hospital by ambulance but his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Enquiries are continuing and a woman has been arrested on suspicion of assault causing actual bodily harm.
