Road closures are in place in Churchdown following a report of a suspected grenade found in a shed at a property.
Police received the report at around 12.15pm today (26 March) and a cordon has been put into place around the address on Cheltenham Road East.
Nearby residents have been evacuated as a precaution so that personnel from the EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) can assess the item.
There are road closures in place from the junction with Down Hatherley Lane to the lights at the Hare and Hounds pub.
People are being asked to avoid the area and find alternative routes.
