The Breitling Wingwalkers have an amazing job opening for a wingwalker to join their team.
The Gloucestershire based display team perform over 80 displays each year at events throughout Europe and beyond and have recently displayed in Japan, sales India, Dubai, Australia and China.
This is an exciting yet challenging role, as the art of wingwalking involves climbing around an aircraft in flight and performing handstands on the wing as they loop above thousands of spectators looking up in awe.
“An enthusiastic, hard-working team player is sought for this amazing opportunity. A background in dance and fitness is ideal to perform against the immense wind pressure experienced when flying at speeds of up to 130mph, as is the ability to continue smiling at the crowd below when it starts raining!” said Freya Paterson, Breitling Wingwalker.
Due to the nature of wingwalking and the safety harness, professional wingwalkers can not be taller than 5ft 4″ or weigh more than 8 and a half stone. The person offered the position will receive full training in the art of wingwalking – no previous wingwalking experience required!
