The case against a Cheltenham man relating to fox hunting has been stopped.
Oliver Dale, aged 46 and from Cheltenham, had been charged with three offences of Hunting a Wild Mammal with Dogs, contrary to Section 1 of the Hunting Act 2004.
Dale was due to appear at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 14 May.
However, Gloucestershire Police has now been informed that the Crown Prosecution Serves is no longer continuing with the case.
A Crown Prosecution Service spokesperson said: “The Crown Prosecution Service has a duty to keep every case under continuing review. Following a further review of the evidence in this case, we concluded there was no longer a realistic prospect of conviction and the case was therefore stopped.”
