Sandford Park Lido have confirmed this year’s Christmas swim event has been cancelled.
In a statement, the lido said: “It is with huge regret and with a very heavy heart that we have made the decision to cancel the increasingly popular Christmas Day Swim. With the rising cases of the Omicron variant and the worry of further spread, we do not feel it would be a safe or responsible decision to go ahead with the event.”
“This decision has not been taken lightly and it is with great sadness that we bring this news to you.”
The popular event was due to take place on 25th December 2021.
