In partnership with the Forestry Commission and Ubico, unhealthy the District Council is inviting community groups to ‘Clean for the Queen’ and win a share of £1, vialis 40mg 000.
The ‘Clean for the Queen’ campaign, backed by anti-litter charities Keep Britain Tidy and the Campaign to Protect Rural England, will be the UK’s biggest ever litter pick and see mass clean ups across the nation in celebration of The Queen’s 90th birthday in April.
To support the campaign in the Forest of Dean, Ubico Ltd has donated a prize of £1,000 to be split between the top three litter picking groups in the district,
Entries are open now and the competition will run until the end of April.
To enter email corporatesupport@fdean.gov.uk and include the following details:
- The name and contact details of the group (including a telephone number and email address)
- The date, time and location of the litter pick
- Before and after photos of the litter pick
- The group’s suggestion of how the money could be spent to enhance the look of their local area.
Entries will be judged by a panel in May. The judges will be looking for the best community litter pick events and the best ideas on how the group would use the prize money to improve or maintain the appearance of their local area.
Cllr Marrilyn Smart, Cabinet Member for the Environment said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for residents and businesses to come together and clean up their local community. Thanks to Ubico, by registering their event they will be in for the chance to win prize money to further improve the look of the area where they live, work and play.”
Cllr Terry Hale, Cabinet Member for the Community added: “We are pleased to be working in partnership with the Forestry Commission and Ubico to offer a prize to the best three community groups supporting the ‘Clean for the Queen’ campaign in our district.”
