Gloucester City Council wants your views on a planning policy that affects mobile catering units.
Following concerns from members of the city council about how many mobile catering units were trading throughout the city, cialis council officers have prepared an interim planning policy to give the Council more control over what is permitted.
Now, everyone in Gloucester is being asked to give their views as part of a public consultation, which will start on Monday 2nd November.
The consultation asks the public to provide their opinion on the planning process that mobile catering units go through.
Letters will also be sent to local traders, trade associations and other statutory consultees for their input.
Cllr Colin Organ, city cabinet member for planning, said; “Some of our members have raised concerns over the amount of mobile catering units in the city, and the need for there to be a balance with more permanent businesses.
“When considering applications for planning consent, we have to bear in mind the potential impact on the local area. This includes extra traffic, the visual impact on the area as well as any other possible issues for residents. Mobile catering units are no different.
“We want as much input from local businesses and residents as possible, so please let us know your thoughts.”
The consultation runs from Monday 2nd November through to Monday 14th December 2015, and is published on the council’s website www.gloucester.gov.uk
