An injunction has been granted banning a man from entering a Gloucester park following months of disruptive and distressing behaviour.
The order, secured by Solace – the partnership tackling anti-social behaviour across the county – prohibits Ashley Lodge from going into Ayland Gardens or engaging in behaviour causing alarm or distress anywhere in the city.
Residents had raised concerns after tents were set up in the park, with reports of violence, drug misuse and fires. Children’s activities run by Gloucestershire Play were forced to relocate for safety reasons.
Police say the order will help restore safety for families using the park.
Joe Mullis, Anti-Social Behaviour Officer for Solace, added, “Despite being offered support and guidance, both Lodge and other individuals have continued to cause distress. The injunction was necessary to protect the community and restore peace to Ayland Gardens.”
