Gloucestershire County Council has appointed three locally based providers to deliver community reablement support.

Retain Healthcare, Mega Resources Nursing & Care and La Vie En Rose will work with the council across Gloucestershire.

The service supports people to regain confidence, rebuild daily living skills and remain independent at home for longer.

It can also help people return home safely after a hospital stay and reduce the need for ongoing care or residential support.

Existing reablement staff will transfer to the new providers on their current terms and conditions.

The council says the new approach will increase local capacity while it continues to oversee and shape the service.
