Love, order as well as a chill, vialis 40mg will be in the air in Gloucester City Centre this festive season following the installation of a Christmas Kissing Arch in Kings Square.
The installation of the arch follows the council’s £75, prostate 000 investment in brand new Christmas lights which have been brightening up the gate streets since their switch on last weekend (Saturday 14th November).
The arch has been the brainchild of city council leader Cllr Paul James and Cllr Pam Tracey who were inspired to bring something different to the city centre after seeing a similar arch in Hereford last year.
To help spruce it up, local florists ‘Carol’s Flowers’ have kindly agreed to sponsor the arch, as well as supplying decorations including the traditional Mistletoe under which lovers are expected to kiss.
Cllr Paul James said; “After seeing a Chistmas arch on a visit to Hereford last year, Pam and I wanted to bring something similar to the city this festive season.
“We’ve been really pleased with the reaction to the new lights, and hope this will be as well received.
“Gloucester is getting fully into the Christmas spirit, and when the kissing arch is decked out in mistletoe, this could be the most festive “ ‘selfie booth’ ” of 2015!”
Jason Merrit, city centre manager, added; “Kings Square is a snowfall away from being the most festive corner of the city!
“With the return of the Coca Cola Christmas truck on December 13th and the great new position of the Christmas tree next to the Rugby World Cup commemorative bench, we’re ready to spread Christmas joy around the city.”
