Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a man was seriously injured in a collision on the A40 in Longlevens yesterday (18 June).
Officers were called at around 1.50pm with a report of a collision involving seven vehicles on the approach to Elmbridge Court roundabout.
A man in his 80s sustained head injuries in the collision and was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
No-one else involved in the collision required hospital treatment.
A man in his 50s was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
Closures were put in place on the A40 between the new Innsworth roundabout and the Elmbridge Court roundabout while a collision investigation took place. They have now been lifted.
Officers are continuing their enquiries and they are now asking anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have any relevant dashcam footage.
