A new café-bar is set to open in Gloucester city centre next month.
Coro Lounge will open in King’s Square on Thursday 7 May, creating around 30 jobs.
The venue is being launched by Loungers, which already operates several sites across Gloucestershire.
The former Chambers pub is currently being transformed into the group’s signature “home from home” style space.
Coro Lounge will serve food and drinks throughout the day, from breakfast through to dinner.
Menus will include options for families, as well as gluten-free and vegan choices.
The venue is also designed to be a community hub, hosting activities such as book clubs, parent groups and workshops.
The name “Coro” reflects Gloucester’s musical heritage, with a nod to the city’s cathedral and choral tradition.
Managers say they are looking forward to becoming part of the local community when doors open next month.
