One of Gloucestershire’s most cherished family attractions is set to make a long-awaited return, six years after its unexpected closure.
Prinknash Bird and Deer Park in Cranham, which welcomed generations of families for 45 years, shut its doors in September 2019 with little explanation. The closure came shortly after the sale of its distinctive mock-Tudor, two-storey Wendy house.
Speculation about a comeback began earlier this year when a new Facebook page for the park appeared, initially showing only a logo and offering no further details. After months of anticipation, it has now been confirmed that Prinknash Bird and Deer Park will officially reopen on Saturday 1 November 2025.
In a social media announcement, the new management team said they had been “working relentlessly over the past six months, come rain or shine, to get the park back to her former beauty.”
The revived attraction will feature new animals and an updated visitor experience, including a dedicated picnic area and a children’s play area currently being completed ahead of the relaunch.
