A prolific shoplifter has been jailed for more than a year after he committed thefts across multiple premises in the Cotswolds.

Cotswold Neighbourhood Policing Inspector Simon Ellson said: “Benjamin Savory was sentenced to 60 weeks in prison after he admitted his series of crimes as well as breaching a criminal behaviour order.
“The Cotswold Neighbourhood Policing team has worked tirelessly to gather evidence to charge Savory whose offending has caused a great deal of harm to local people and businesses.
“Not only do these damage properties and cause financial loss, they make innocent people feel unsafe in their own communities.
“We’re pleased to see such a prolific criminal off the streets of the Cotswolds for more than a year.”
