Students at Wycliffe College are preparing for a 5km charity run to support a fellow pupil.

The event, first launched in 2023, has grown this year to include children aged from four to 18.

Participants can run or walk the course, with organisers also adding a colourful “colourburst zone” for younger runners.

Funds raised will go to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

The event is being led in part by student Amelie, who was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis as a baby.

She says running is an important part of managing the condition and hopes the community will come together to support the cause.

Organisers say the day will also include family activities, food and entertainment, bringing the whole school together for charity.
