Gloucestershire County Council is consulting on proposals to extend 20mph speed limits across much of Stroud and into Cainscross.
The plans form part of the council’s Safer Roads and Community 20s programme and focus on residential streets and areas where people live, shop and travel locally.
The council says 121 road traffic casualties have been recorded across Stroud and Cainscross over the past five years, with more than one in five classed as killed or seriously injured.
Public engagement runs from Monday 22 June until midnight on Friday 24 July.
Residents can comment online, complete a survey, or pick up paper copies at Stroud Library in the Five Valleys Shopping Centre.
A drop-in event will take place at Five Valleys Shopping Centre on Tuesday 30 June, with an online webinar on Wednesday 8 July.
