Former BBC Radio 1 DJ Tim Westwood has been charged with multiple sexual offences, including four counts of rape and nine counts of indecent assault, spanning more than three decades.
The charges relate to seven women between 1983 and 2016, with alleged incidents taking place primarily in London — and one in Stroud.
According to the Metropolitan Police, the offences include:

In 1983, a 17-year-old girl was indecently assaulted in Fulham, London.

In 1986, a woman in her 20s was sexually assaulted in Vauxhall, London.

Between 1995 and 1996, a 17–18-year-old was allegedly raped and sexually assaulted in London.

Between 2000 and 2001, another 17–18-year-old was allegedly raped and assaulted in London.

In 2010, a woman in her 20s was raped in London.

In 2010, a woman in her 20s was sexually assaulted in Stroud, Gloucestershire.

In 2016, a woman in her 20s was sexually assaulted in Finchley, north London.
Detective Superintendent Andy Furphy, from the Metropolitan Police, praised the bravery of those who came forward:
“It takes courage to come forward and report allegations of this nature. The women who have done so have put their trust in us and we continue to provide them with all available support.”

Westwood, 67, is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 11 November.
The case has drawn significant national attention, with the Stroud allegation highlighting how the investigation has reached beyond London.
