Three people were taken to hospital following a two-car crash on the A417 near Birdlip Hill.
Emergency services were called to the busy route at around 5.30pm yesterday. One person suffered leg injuries and was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol, while two others were treated for minor injuries at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.
The A417 was closed in both directions for around five hours while police and paramedics attended the scene. Traffic was diverted along Old Birdlip Road until the route was fully reopened at about 10.30pm.
A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Police said: “We were called to the A417 at around 5.30pm yesterday with a report of a collision involving two cars near Birdlip Hill. The A417 was closed in both directions with traffic diverted while emergency services were in attendance. The road fully reopened at around 10.30pm.”
