Food lovers in Gloucester have another reason to celebrate as Karak Chaii becomes the latest venue to join the city’s popular Foodie Passport campaign.

Famous for its rich, slow-brewed chai and street food-inspired dishes, Karak Chaii has quickly become a local favourite for those seeking authentic flavours and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Owner Naveen Thota said: “We’re really excited to be part of the Foodie Passport in Gloucester. It’s such a great way for locals and visitors to explore new flavours, and we can’t wait to share what makes Karak Chaii special — from our signature chai to the street food that brings people together.”

The Foodie Passport, organised by Gloucester BID, invites diners to explore the city’s growing food scene by collecting stamps at participating venues for the chance to win prizes including Gloucester Gift Cards and local dining experiences.

Izzy Townsend, Marketing Assistant at Gloucester BID, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Karak Chaii to the Foodie Passport family. Their dedication to authentic taste and community spirit perfectly aligns with our mission to connect people with diverse and memorable food experiences in Gloucester.”

Running until 31 October 2025, the Foodie Passport campaign continues to expand, showcasing the wide range of cuisines and independent businesses that make Gloucester’s food scene so vibrant.
