A man has been arrested, charged and remanded in custody following a swift investigation by the Constabulary’s Operation Vanguard Team based in Cheltenham.

It is alleged 22-year-old Jake Ahmed committed a knife-point robbery at a shop in Hester’s Way in Cheltenham on Sunday (23 October).

He was subsequently arrested by Vanguard officers on Wednesday this week, charged and then appeared in court yesterday (Thursday).
