A man is in hospital with serious injuries after he was struck by a car in the St Paul’s area of Cheltenham on Friday.
Police were called at around 2.15pm with a report of a collision on St Paul’s Road, which involved a pedestrian and a Nissan Micra, which was being driven by a woman.
The vehicle also collided with a parked Mercedes.
Emergency services attended, including an air ambulance, and road closures were put in place.
The man, aged in his 50s, was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol by land ambulance. He remains there today (Saturday) with serious injuries.
The driver of the Nissan, aged in her 70s, was checked over by paramedics at the scene.
The road was re-opened last night and enquiries are taking place.
Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or who has dashcam footage of it, and has not already spoken to officers at the scene.
