A community-led circular fashion and upcycling project in Stroud is entering the final days of its crowdfunding campaign, which closes on 02 March.
The initiative aims to tackle textile waste by keeping clothing out of landfill through resale, repair and upcycling, alongside skills-sharing workshops designed to help people extend the life of their garments. Organisers say the project will also create an accessible community space focused on sustainability, creativity and practical climate action.
By combining fashion with environmental awareness and local economic resilience, the project responds directly to the challenges of high street decline and growing textile waste. Rather than offering a purely conceptual approach to sustainability, it operates hands-on — encouraging residents to learn practical skills and engage with circular fashion in an affordable and inclusive way.
Funds raised through the crowdfunder will go towards securing premises, purchasing equipment, delivering workshops and widening community access to the space.
With only days remaining, organisers are urging local supporters and sustainability advocates to help share the campaign or make last-minute donations before the deadline.
