A mother, with a three year-old child, has had to put up with a leak and mould growing in her Gloucestershire flat.
Holly Smith, 19, who lives in Tewkesbury has been calling on Bromford Housing to repair the problems at her home.
She said she had made continuous phone calls and had initially been “brushed off” and told it was not an emergency.
And that she would have to wait until next week. Bromford Housing have since sent staff to assess the necessary repairs she needed on Monday.
The housing association has apologised for the delay in responding to her calls about the leak.
Ms Smith said: “Bromford Housing is leaving a 19 year old single mum with a three year old neglected in a two bed top floor flat.
“I’ve made continuous phone calls, brushed off and told it’s not an emergency and I’ve got to wait until December 2.
“A bit of the wall nearly hit my child on the head. I’ve informed them and they just said ‘oh sorry’.
“It’s disgusting they haven’t been out to have a look or even look in the loft to see where it’s coming from.”
Bromford Housing say they visited Ms Smith’s property on Monday and have worked out what repairs need to be done.
They are now aiming to get that completed as soon as possible.
Natalie Colfer, Bromford’s head of neighbourhoods and communities said: “We’d like to apologise to Miss Smith for the delay in responding to her calls about the leak in her home after she contacted us about it last week.
“Our colleagues visited the property on Monday to assess the necessary repairs and we are now scheduling work to fix the leak, which we aim to have completed within the next week.
“We’ve spoken to Miss Smith both yesterday and today to update her on our plans to resolve the issue and will remain in contact with her.
“Once the leak has been repaired we will return to replace the loft insulation that has been damaged by the leak and complete work to address the mould in her home and any related repairs.”
