Gloucestershire County Council is encouraging those in work, pilule especially teaching and health care, viagra sale to consider fostering older children and teenagers, malady as their skills can make them excellent carers.
Many people who foster work full and part time with support in place to care for children when they’re at work. The county council itself has a number of employees who balance jobs, predominantly in teaching and health care, with caring for children most in need.
Sara Jaffer, a part time teaching assistant and her husband Mohammed, a part time mechanic, foster a teenage girl and an 11 year old boy. They also have six children of their own, some of whom still live at home. Sara said: “I think my experience of helping in schools as well as having my own family gave me a skill set for fostering older children. Working in a school setting also gives you the opportunity to work with all kinds of children and understand their needs.
“It was an easy decision for me to foster as I love children and just want them around me all the time. If you do work and foster you need to be very organised and have family and friends supporting you.”
Cllr Paul McLain, cabinet member for children and young people, said: “We have many foster carers who juggle their jobs to care for the county’s most vulnerable children. We need more people to come forward to foster who have the life skills and experience of dealing with young people.”
Foster carers with Gloucestershire County Council receive full support including an allowance which can amount to more than £300 a week. The county council accepts applications to foster from all sectors of the community.
There is no upper age limit to foster and people can be single, married, co-habiting, in a heterosexual or same sex relationship, owning or renting their home. All children are different and to meet their needs the county council is looking for a wide variety of people. Applicants need to be over 21 and have a spare room (or spare rooms for siblings) in their home.
