Police are appealing for information after thieves robbed a vulnerable elderly man in his Cheltenham home last night (Sunday 28 September).
Officers are investigating after it was reported that the man, who is in his 80s, heard the sound of someone breaking into his house on Cromwell Road at around 11pm.
Three masked men had smashed their way through a back door to gain entry. The victim was able to chase them outside where he was assaulted, suffering minor injuries, and had his watch stolen.
He was able to head to a neighbour who raised the alarm.
The watch, a silver coloured Rolex worth £13,000, has sentimental value to the victim after it was given to him for his military service.
A wallet containing cash and bank cards was also stolen during the burglary.
Officers are now asking anyone with information about the burglary to come forward.
They would also like to hear from anyone who may have been offered the pictured Rolex for sale.
